WHAT IS TEAM MONUMENTAL KIDS?

The members of Team Monumental Kids (TMK) dedicate their miles to raising funds for the Apex Benefits Monumental Kids Movement (MKM) as they train for the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon. 

TMK fundraisers can share their love of health and wellness with thousands of school-age children in the greater Indianapolis area. TMK fundraising dollars will help the Beyond Monumental Team continue to expand the Apex Benefits MKM program to impact even more students in central Indiana.

WHAT IS THE APEX BENEFITS MONUMENTAL KIDS MOVEMENT?

The Apex Benefits Monumental Kids Movement is a school-based running club powered by a health and wellness curriculum created by Beyond Monumental. Motivators lead students through the seven–nine week curriculum that educates youth in the greater Indianapolis area about the benefits of exercise, proper diet, and healthy living. Students run a 5K at a Beyond Monumental event at the conclusion of the program to celebrate their commitment to health and wellness.

WHY IS THE APEX BENEFITS MONUMENTAL KIDS PROGRAM IMPORTANT?

Did you know?

   – Nearly 17% of 10-17 year-olds in the state of Indiana are overweight or obese.
   – Indiana is ranked 16th in obesity for youth ages 10-17.
   – Indiana is ranked as the 10th most obese state in the country.

The Apex Benefits Monumental Kids Movement focuses on engaging and educating youth about the benefits of physical fitness and healthy living to help close the gap on childhood obesity.

TMK fundraising provides students with access to the Apex Benefits MKM program, including the seven-nine week curriculum, entry into a 5K at a culminating event, and finisher swag when they cross the finish line!
