A MONUMENTAL DAY FOR LOCAL EDUCATION AND YOUTH HEALTH & WELLNESS
The 2024 Apex Benefits Monumental Kids 5K presented by Indiana University Indianapolis took place tonight throughout downtown Indy before finishing inside Lucas Oil Stadium. Thousands of students, motivators, and spectators came together to celebrate the culmination of this year’s Apex Benefits Monumental Kids Movement (MKM) presented by Indiana University Indianapolis.
Nearly 50 schools were represented from 5 Indianapolis public school districts including Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS), Perry Township Schools, Washington Township Schools, and others.
The night’s first winner was local public education. During the festivities, Beyond Monumental recognized the 2024 programs by donating $49,000 for the Apex Benefits Monumental Kids Movement to 5 Marion County school districts.
Honorary starters featured John Gause, CEO of Apex Benefits; Latha Ramchand, Indiana University Indianapolis Chancellor; and Brad Sugarman, Beyond Monumental Board President.
Honorary finish tape holders were Apex Benefits’ John Gause and IU Indianapolis’ Latha Ramchand.
Since 2008, Beyond Monumental has donated more than $1.6 million to support local public education within Marion County and has provided more than 30,000 students in the Apex Benefits Monumental Kids Movement with the tools to live a healthy, active lifestyle and achieve things they never thought possible.
