Lindsey Hein is the mother of three young boys and can be found running (literally) around town with her kids in tow where she resides in Indianapolis, IN.
An avid runner, Lindsey has completed 13 marathons and one half-iron man. She ran one of those marathons while newly pregnant with her first son. She spends a lot of time running miles behind both a single and double running stroller and credits her marathon PR to a lot of stroller miles in training. Lindsey plans to run the full marathon at Monumental this year.
She and her husband Glenn, own a small coaching business; Out for a Run Training. They coach runners working toward running their first 5k, all the way to those training for a 50-mile ultra marathon. Lindsey’s personal specialty is women working toward accomplishing their Boston Qualifying time.
She has used her expertise in the sport to educate and train individuals around Indianapolis. In 2009, she implemented a training program for low-income senior citizens to complete several 5K races, ultimately leading up to completing the 500 Festival Mini Marathon. Two years later, in 2011 she led and educated a group of Arsenal Tech High School students, known as “Team Legacy” as part of the 2012 Super Bowl Legacy project to run the 500 Festival Mini Marathon. In 2014, she created and coached the Indy Women’s training program – leading over 50 women to run to Indy Women’s 5K and Half Marathon.
After jumping on the podcast bandwagon during runs a couple years ago, she couldn’t find the specific type of show she wanted to listen to and decided to create it. She launched her show “I’ll Have Another” Podcast with Lindsey Hein in April 2016. The podcast is a place for conversations that leave you feeling inspired and refreshed. Though not always about running, Lindsey chats with runners and athletes of all ability levels on the show- from people just starting out all the way up to Olympic athletes. The conversations are casual and will make you feel as though you’re sitting in on a conversation between two friends.
