APEX BENEFITS MONUMENTAL KIDS ACHIEVING THINGS THEY NEVER THOUGHT POSSIBLE
The 2023 Apex Benefits Monumental Kids 5K took place this Saturday from Lucas Oil Stadium. Thousands of students, motivators, and spectators came together to celebrate the culmination of this year’s Apex Benefits Monumental Kids Movement (MKM).
Over 40 schools were represented from 5 Indianapolis public school districts including Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS), Perry Township Schools, Washington Township Schools, and others.
“There is nothing that gives me more joy than seeing these kids’ faces when they do this event. Thank you for all you do,” shared Ryan Richey, a motivator from the Theodore Potter School #74 (IPS).
Honorary starters featured Brad Sugarman, Beyond Monumental Board President; Margaret Osborne, Apex Benefits; Bruce Johnson, Donate Life Indiana; and Andrew Petersen, former Special Olympics athlete and local running coach.
Honorary finish tape holders were Apex Benefits’ Margaret Osborne, VP of Marketing, and Kelsey Van Paris, Kinetic Health Specialist.
Since 2008, Beyond Monumental has donated more than $1.5 million to support local public education within Marion County and provide students in the Apex Benefits Monumental Kids Movement with the tools to live a healthy, active lifestyle and achieve things they never thought possible.
