IU HEALTH SIGNS ON AS OFFICIAL MEDICAL PROVIDER THROUGH 2026 FOR THE CNO FINANCIAL INDIANAPOLIS MONUMENTAL MARATHON
Indiana’s largest and most comprehensive health system extends partnership with Indiana’s largest marathon for the next 3 years to provide medical support through race weekend.
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Beyond Monumental today announced a multi-year partnership with Indiana University Health as they return as the Official Medical Partner of the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon for the third consecutive year. The annual race weekend features marathon, half marathon, and 5K distances and will take place in downtown Indianapolis on Saturday, November 9, 2024.
“We are excited to collaborate with IU Health and their medical staff for the 17th anniversary of the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon and beyond. Last year’s event marked the 11th consecutive sell-out of the event and we can’t wait to welcome more than 15,000 participants to Indianapolis again this fall,” said Jed Cornforth, Executive Director, Beyond Monumental. “Our organization prioritizes the health and well-being of everyone involved in race weekend – competitors, spectators, and volunteers alike. This partnership helps ensure excellent medical support and the highest level of care for our premiere event.”
As the official medical team of the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, IU Health physicians will provide medical expertise and on-site support for runners and walkers along each of the three courses; which includes medical aid stations along the course led by volunteer physicians, nurses, and staff.

Our team of compassionate medical providers is both well-equipped and dedicated to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all race competitors and spectators throughout the next coming years.”
The CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, Half Marathon, & 5K takes runners and walkers through the heart of downtown Indianapolis, past iconic monuments and memorials, and through the city’s historic and scenic neighborhoods. It has grown to one of the top 15 largest marathons in the country, and attracts more than 15,000 participants including Olympians, Boston Marathon qualifiers, and PR seekers from around the country and internationally.
